Today
Webberville is located on scenic old Grand River Avenue, with easy access to the intersection of 1-96 and M-52. We are 20 minutes east of downtown Lansing, Michigan’s capital. We are within an hour of Detroit, Grand Rapids and Flint. A beautiful country setting makes Webberville a great place to raise children and be involved in the community.
Spacious farmland surrounds Webberville, offering a closeness to nature. Agriculture is a broad base of the community dollars, supplying the Great American Food Basket with meat, milk and produce. Michigan’s Water Wonderland has supplied us with many nearby lakes for fishing and recreation. Several State Game areas are available for the outdoors person. If horses interest you, close by you’ll find both pleasure riding and racing. Visitors from all over the state, as well as the world, have visited our unique agricultural properties. Michigan State University is just 20 minutes away, providing excellent opportunities for education, research and employment.
The town of 1,800 is nestled along the Kalamink Creek, which flows into the Red Cedar River. The beautiful Oak Lane Golf Course provides excellent recreation year-round, with cross-country skiing in the wintertime. Excellent shopping facilities offer the hometown atmosphere and a variety of pleasures and necessities. Several churches serve the area.
Webberville Community Schools come highly recommended across the state for academic discipline as well as extracurricular achievements. The nearness of Michigan State University, Lansing Community College and the University of Michigan offers a wide variety of opportunities for education, cultural and social development. Employment opportunities exist at governmental offices, General Motors, as well as other major businesses in the area.
