"The Future is Mine"
Many young women do not have
positive role models. Instead they are bombarded with examples of
negative heroes by the media as well as siblings and friends who exibit
negative life styles. These women fail to realize their potential for a
future filled with promise regardless of the discouraging experiences
they have come to know. This can instead lead to poor grades, lack of
goals and bad choices concerning alcohol and others drugs, sex and
violence instead of effective conflict resolution. Talking critically
about these difficulties has become involved in a process having the
potential to favorably impact a young woman's life. |
