Donations - Financial

Our financial support is from private donors and churches.  Your cash contribution qualifies for a Michigan income tax credit because Hannah's House is a "shelter" under the Michigan Tax Act.  All donations are eligible for a Michigan tax credit of 50% of the amount donated, up to a maximum of  $100 for a single taxpayer and $200 for a joint return.  For example, a couple filing jointly (donating $400 to Hannah's House) would be eligible for a $200 tax credit on their Michigan Income Tax Return.  This means you pay $200 less in Michigan Income Taxes.  For resident estates or trusts, a credit of $5,000 is allowed.  Please consult your tax advisor for other credits and eligibility requirements.  Your donation is also deductible on your federal income tax return.
