Volunteering

Working in a unique setting, performing a veriety of tasks. Which may include, but not limited to helping educators choose low cost, fun, funky materials for artistic and educational progroms. Other tasks may include organizing materials for display, creating projects and promoting our programs. Also helping with workshops, birthday parties and off site program promotion.

Listed below are the tasks one can take up as a volunteer:

• Develop project ideas, package and assemble kits to be used for art or science projects and workshops. Serve on the committee for the amount of time you are able to commit.

• Work with staff or a board member to facilitate off site workshops, birthday parties or on site tours. Usually 2-4 hrs

• Project areas are public relations, auction organization, mailings, volunteer coordination, and general office work. Serve on the committee for the amount of time you are able to commit.

• Help organize and staff our Creation Station promotional booth at special events at various time throughout the year. Includes set-up, staffing, doing an activity and promoting the Creation Station and its mission. Usually 2-4 hrs.

• Help staff the store during the hours we are open 2-6pm Tuesday and Thursday, and the first and third Saturday of each month from 10am - 2pm. Waiting on customers, put away new stock, clean and organize stock, answer the phone and general questions about the store. For every 4-hrs work in any month, you are entitled to one large bulk $6.00 bag of treasures of your choice.
