Birth to Five is a subcommittee of the Ingham Human Services Advisory Committee (HSAC)/ Power of We which is the multipurpose collaborative board for human service agencies in the Capital Area. The Birth to Five subcommittee serves as the interagency working group for the Ingham Great Start Collaborative (GSC). GSC - Birth to Five usually meets the second Wednesday of each month at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 549 E Mt Hope Lansing, from 1-3pm. Child care is available on-site through the Family Growth Center with advance reservations. At each meeting there are progress reports on the Early Childhood Action Agenda and committee reports from workgroups including: Early Childhood Literacy Coalition, KEEP Task Force, Public Awareness, Operations Committee, Safe Sleep, Infant Mortality, Quality Initiatives, Kindergarten Transition, Parent Education and Parent Coalition. There is also time set aside for updates from all participants and discussion of other issues of interest.
