Immunizations


Immunizations Required Before Kindergarten (August)

Michigan law requires that children be immunized against the following diseases prior to entering kindergarten.

• Diphtheria, Pertussis, & Tetanus (4 doses before age 4)
• Polio (3 doses before age 4)
• Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (2 doses on or after 1st birthday)InghamGSCph&web 2007
• Chickenpox/Varicella (1 dose on or after 1st birthday)
• Hepatitis B (3 doses at various ages)

Parents should consult their family doctor about the specific ages at which these immunizations should be given.
