Linking the NorthWest community to resources

"Through community engagement and mobilization, NWI advances the development of healthy, vibrant communities by building capacity to identify needs and formulate strategies to create change." - NWI Mission Statement

THE NORTHWEST INITIATIVE

"Celebrate Your Health Club" kicks off October 7th. Interested in spending time eating good food, and talking with women in your neighborhood about the health issues women face? Come to the first meeting! Visit the Breast Health Program for more information!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO? And will you contribute to your community by doing it on and around Saginaw Street and Oakland Avenue? Click here to tell us what you love to do, and how often you might be available to volunteer in your community.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens [or people] can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

The WestSide Alliance wants your opinion! State your opinion on a “district name” for the Saginaw/Oakland Commercial area.

Lansing will be doing wayfinding signs soon! For an idea of what "wayfinding" means, check out the way-finding system in Kalamazoo!
